Games Buyers
The demographic of Games-related buyers is diverse and constantly expanding. Each of these unique buyers has a wide range of requirements for goods and services before, during and after the Vancouver 2010 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games. There will be an estimated $2 billion in direct spending on goods and services from the planning and staging of the Games and another $2 billion in indirect spending by Games suppliers, sponsors, licensees, visiting tourists, athletic teams and official delegations. For more information on key buyers and their procurement needs follow the links below:
- Organizing Committees

- Vancouver 2010 Sponsors
The 2010 Winter Games could not happen without sponsorship. While sponsors establish their presence in British Columbia during the Games they will be procuring all types of goods and services.
- National Olympic and Paralympic Committees
Over 80 countries are coming to the 2010 Winter Games, with each country sending anywhere from one to 200 or more athletes. While these athletes are training on our soil, business opportunities spanning from sports medicine facilities to tourism will be available.
- Government Organizations
All levels of government (federal, provincial, and municipal) are involved in funding the 2010 Winter Games. The Province of British Columbia alone has committed $600 million towards financing the 2010 Winter Games.
